Believe Jesus is who He says He is. Have faith that He’s the way, the truth and the life. Thank Him for saving you and for permanently taking up residence in you. Out of all the places He could hang His hat, he chose your Spirit and body to live in. Wow, if that’s not a BIG deal, I don’t know what is!
“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes by the word.” Romans 10:17
The faith of Jesus Christ will grow in your life as you remain focused on his word. Just reading and speaking his word out loud, especially about your identity in Christ, will release faith, peace and joy in your life. Jesus words are truth and the truth will continue to set you free.
It takes time to put on your new Christ Life. Over time, your heart will be convinced that you are a new creation who only comes from God, like Jesus came from God. This amazing new life will manifest in stages. Seed, time and harvest… This why Paul said to stay focused on heaven where you are now seated in Christ in at least two passages.
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:1-3 (NKJV)
“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus”
Ephesians 2:4-6 NKJV
2. Stay in God’s presence. Whenever you take time to be alone with Him and His word. Know that He’s actually focusing on you. The word says that we are always in his presence if we look at the above verse. It’s your spirit who is always in his presence. We bring our soul and body to the party when we continually worship and praise Him because we’re have gotten to know him through his word.
We come formally before His throne when we witness to others. As soon as you mention his name in public in any positive way, heaven will literally manifest through you to help those you are speaking to. Even if it’s just you in the middle of the night, speaking the word over your own life, heaven will manifest to minister to you. He loves it when we speak his word over ourselves. According to PAUL, the truth is you’re always in heaven. You are just awakening your heart and mind to it. Will save that topic for the next blog.
Speak the word over yourself and notice his presence. You can speak it over others and many times they will notice his presence as well. As you become skilled in the word of the free gift of righteousness, your confidence will build, and the word will bubble up from within and roll right off your tongue, and your light will shine like never before.
Being in His loving presence eventually overtakes all the negative thoughts about your life. Just think about it, you’re seated in heaven because you have been made innocent by the very blood of Jesus making you a royal son or daughter. The father decided to make us just like himself from the very beginning. He sent Jesus to make it a reality. He gave us his word to make the faith of Jesus come alive in our heart. His words supernaturally work within us to create us in His image and likeness! That’s why we spend so much time in the word of Christ.
Getting to know God through the word with signs and miracles following creates a heart of worship within you. Worship with thanksgiving is what all of heaven is doing. Jesus prayed as Father’s will be done in heaven, so be it on earth.
Self concern melts away in the loving eyes of Papa God! We are meant to stay in this secret place 24/7. The secret place is Jesus, and Father God. We’ll dive deeper in the next blog post about staying in the secret place 24/7.
3. Share what excites you and what blesses your heart to others. You are formally before the throne of God when you mention Jesus’ name in public. And what does God do when you’re in His presence? Fill you with the Joy! Sharing the goodness of God with others will help youremain in the secret place. This blesses you as much as those you witness to. You’ll actually be in deep, amazing intimacy with God while you’re interacting with others!
I expect God to love the people I interact with, getting used to hearing the Holy Spirit. Since you’re in heaven in Christ, you can speak healings and miracles into existence. It’s what God does through His body. There may be persecution but most people desire to know God. The reward is way greater than the problems that can occur.
