Let peace reign in your heart and your body will thank you!

This morning, around 6 AM, the Holy Spirit woke me up and brought these powerful Bible verses to mind:


- Romans 16:19 — "Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I rejoice because of you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil."


- Philippians 4:8 — "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."


- 2 Timothy 1:7 — "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline."


Paul gives these instructions because he wants our minds and hearts firmly rooted in the Kingdom of God. When our thoughts stay fixed on heavenly things—on what is beautiful, good, noble, pure, and worthy of praise—our bodies remain protected and secure.


Colossians 3:15 — "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful."


Philippians 4:7 — "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."


Isaiah 26:3 — "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you."


John 14:27 — "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."


But when we allow ourselves to get upset, triggered into negativity, or consumed by fear, we open the door for the enemy—who is in the world—to interfere with our bodies. He may try to bring symptoms, pain, or attacks. We don’t have to waste time entertaining or battling every symptom. We can walk in true freedom.


That’s exactly why I’ve been able to bounce back quickly from every evil attack on my body. I recognize them for what they are—attacks from the enemy—and refuse to accept them. Over time, as we grow in gentleness, kindness, meekness, love, and patience (not easily angered), we come to a deeper place of faith: the devil truly cannot touch us when we live this way.


It’s okay to feel a moment of righteous anger—especially when it’s aimed at helping someone or standing against wrong. But ongoing anger rooted in personal offense, hurt, or “what might happen to me” is really fear in disguise. And fear is not from God. He gives us His Spirit of love, power, and a sound mind instead.


Proverbs 14:30 — "A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones."


Let’s lean deeper into these truths and claim our freedom in Christ—freedom from pain, back problems, sciatica, and every kind of attack on the body. By keeping our minds renewed and fixed on what is good, allowing peace to reign in our hearts, we guard our peace, our health, and our wholeness. The victory is already ours! Your body truly will thank you when peace rules. 🙌
